BB and I spent a quiet mourning with some much needed together time. After lunch we went out geocaching and to pick up some meds for the dog (Cindy).
I originally though we'd find Down by the River. I'd planned to park along stonebridge road and walk in. Unfortunately, in winter that's not possible. Instead one needs to park at the end of Little Farms Road at the canoe launch and walk N to go across the 'pipe bridge' and then to the cache location. BB and I ended up spending the better part of an hour driving around tring to work this out. When we got to the canoe launch there were 4 trucks working on some of the water works. We walked around a bit but not seeing an obvious trail gave up pending better information.
We then went to try Curling Cache. Continuing the theme for the day we spent a good deal of time driving around a condo development off of Magnolia Dr. It was rather frustrating since we could SEE the curling building but not get to it. Eventually we drove a bit further S to Brumestone and bingo we're there. Parking was easy and after a short walk we got to the coordinates. Unfortunately after a fair bit of digging around in the snow it was a DNF. I tried to convince BB to at least go into the club as there were a fair number of cars parked but at this point she was a bit frustrated and so we went home. I'll have to go back later to try again.
Later in the evening we read and watches a bit of TV.
