I'm looking into FreeNas (FreeNAS 8.0 | Storage For Open Source) to provide media storage for the Fire ComcastTV project. I've got some OLD, really OLD, PCs that should work as storage computers. Docs are available here. I'll take some time today to experiment a bit.
