The drivetrain is enclosed. That's a positive. They use 20" wheels so the seat height is good. Gearing is via a 14 speed internal rear hub. The bike also has full suspension. Here are the gear ratios:
I think it might be possible to duplicate this design in carbon over foam with derailleur gearing using a free hub as the rear suspension pivot and a conventional 7 speed rear cluster. The rear chair assembly would be exposed but otherwise things should be similar.
